Civil funeral ceremonies offer an alternative to traditional religious
or humanist funerals. We work closely with you to create a ceremony
that is individual, highly personal and very special
- There is a unique tribute to the person who
has died, based on conversations with you.
- Music and poetry are carefully chosen.
- Family, friends and colleagues are encouraged
to be involved: to present a eulogy, read a poem, light a candle
or release balloons.
- After the ceremony, you receive a presentation
copy of the ceremony script.
The Institute
of Civil Funerals provides this definition of a civil funeral:
"A funeral which is driven by the wishes, beliefs and values
of the deceased and their family, not by the beliefs or ideology
of the person conducting the funeral".

Pre arranged funeral ceremonies. Are there favourite pieces
of music that you would like played at your funeral? Poems and readings
that hold special memories? Messages of love and comfort for the
important people in your life?
Let us work with you to pre-arrange a funeral ceremony. Perhaps
alongside your arrangements you are making with a funeral director
for a pre-paid funeral plan?
Memorial Services. Funerals often have to be arranged in
a short space of time. A memorial or thanksgiving service can provide
a perfect opportunity to remember and celebrate the different facets
of a person's life. And, there is more time to prepare
Please contact us at Beginnings
& Endings for more information on all of these ceremony
options. Fees for civil funerals start at £155.
